Local people give their views on devolution proposals

Residents, businesses and voluntary organisations have been giving their views on the North of Tyne devolution proposals at our consultation events this week.

Over 100 people attended events in North Shields and Newcastle to hear more about the proposals and have their say on devolution for the North of Tyne.

Here are just some of the views of the people who attended our event in North Shields on 17 January.

Robin Fry, Acting Chief Executive of VODA and resident of North Tyneside

Kehri Ellis, Chief Executive of North Tyneside Learning Trust and resident of North Tyneside

David Bavaird, Chair of North Tyneside Business Forum and resident of North Tyneside

We’re holding events in South Shields, Alnwick, Gateshead and Sunderland in the next two weeks if you would like to come along – click here to book your place. You can also give your views via our online consultation until Monday 5 February.
